What do you do when you’re a small-group travel company during an industry-destroying pandemic? You use that reset as an opportunity to educate people on the problems caused by mass tourism, and the world-changing benefits responsible travel can have. We created a campaign that asked people to reflect, rethink, and relearn what they know about different types of travel, so when the world can travel again, they’ll choose (hopefully) to do it better than ever before.

The idea? Retravel.

Here’s the launch video we created to kick the campaign off:

After the launch video, we then started releasing posts on Instagram that took a deeper look at specific, lesser-known consequences of modern travel. Each post was made up of two images that required a swipe across to read the full headline, accompanied by detailed, fact-driven post copy that showed people the reality behind certain travel experiences. The posts also invited people to sign up for our live event series, Retravel Live.

The following is a sample of the content we created.

Starting in September of 2020, we began holding our monthly Retravel Live event series with some of the travel industry’s most prominent thought-leaders, with each conversation shining a light on a different issue of modern tourism.
